The Bisbee Breakfast Club is worth the interesting road trip to find it. The mixed aroma of pancakes and bacon leads the hungry traveler right to it. It comes by its name naturally, as this is the most crowed place around. Everyone stops at Bisbee Breakfast Club.
On the far southwest end of town, around the open pit mine, and a sharp right turn into a parking lot, is a tiny block of abandoned buildings. With a nod from the friendly local folks, the smart Bisbee visitor lets the car drift on in, finding the lot opens to a larger area, where all but a few parking spots are taken.
Bisbee Breakfast Club Quality Trademark
Real maple syrup livens up the pancakes and French toast. Not just the same old coffee is served, but a locally roasted blend, and even decaf espresso is available. Fresh, locally squeezed orange juice and lemonade are also on the menu.
Mexican Favorites
Bisbee, Arizona is only five miles from Naco, Mexico. Bisbee Breakfast Club celebrates its long shared history with Mexico in traditional favorites. Chorizo Rancheros are on the daily menu, as well as creations like the Crazy Burro, with black beans, green sauce, fresh avocado, scrambled eggs, and more rolled into a huge flour tortilla. Sunday's special Carne Asada Benedict is a grilled English Muffin topped with grilled marinated sirloin, 2 blended eggs with jack-cheddar cheese, topped with green sauce and served with hash browns for only $7.99.
American Traditions
The menu is vast, with standard breakfast fare and also old favorites, like Pancakes, Corned Beef Hash and Steak and Eggs. It’s no wonder people flock there, as it settles every breakfast hunger for a fair price. Nothing on the menu tops $8.00, as of a May 25th 2009 visit.
New Twists to Familiar Fare
Fun, unique recipes grace the menu too, like a Popeye Scramble loaded with spinach, eggs, cream cheese, and more, to Blueberry Granola Pancakes, and even Blue Wally Cakes, which are buttermilk pancakes with walnuts and blueberries mixed in, and a sprinkling of powdered sugar on top. Bisbee Breakfast Club also makes six kinds of omelets on the regular menu. Plus, the ‘club’ offers daily, mouth-watering, surprise specials in each entrée category.
